Candidate for Speedy Deletion
Please take a look at the French version of this article. This appears to be a direct translation - i.e. unsalvageable. --Spaceinput120 (talk) 14:25, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Restructuring this Article
I have some suggestions. First, Spaceinput120 is correct: the direct translation is hideously bad and uninformative. I agree that it is unsalvageable: better translation or rephrasing is likely to fail, and a whole rewrite is in order. However I really don't think that this article needs to go into details such as reduction of capital, minimum capital requirements or the precise extent of shareholder liability except to the extent that these aspects are unique to a SARL. There are plenty of articles on corporate structure and limited liability, and I fail to see the need for a fresh comprehensive review of all the familiar principles for each corporate vehicle in each jurisdiction.
I plan to do a little research and discover what makes SARL different, if anything. --Lejend (talk) 13:11, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
I know nothing about Law and Wikicracy, but...
Shouldn't this page be included in the LLC page? Or, at list, specify somewhere in the header that the US-(global?-)"equivalent" of the french "sarl" is "llc" or "plc"?
Please re-read the subject! I mean, should the english translation of the page be:
- a word to word translation of the french system, or
- an article about the actual anglo-saxon view of the concept, namely "LLC" in the US and "PLC" in the UK.
