Fair use rationale for Image:VicFootyShow.jpg

Image:VicFootyShow.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Rename proposal

For consistency with Soccer in Australia, this article should be renamed to Soccer in Victoria, rather than that name being a redirect. HiLo48 (talk) 05:47, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Given the consensus reached in Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_(Football_in_Australia)#RfC_on_naming and Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_(Football_in_Australia)#Another_RfC_on_naming), this rename is now even more strongly justified. The ONLY use of the words "Association" and "football" together that I've ever seen in Victoria are that used in conversation about the Victorian Football Association, an Australian Rules football competition, not the round ball code at all. The current name here is just confusing, and helps nobody understand. HiLo48 (talk) 22:04, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Oppose. It's only confusing if you let yourself be confused. Stick to fixing Australian rules football pages and leave Association football articles alone. Macktheknifeau (talk) 13:05, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

I suppose that's unlikely to happen now that Macktheknifeau has been indefinitely blocked. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? HiLo48 (talk) 08:41, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

All states should really be consistent with Soccer in Australia. Even though all of the '[Football code] in [state]' articles are nothings that should probably be merged into sections of the '[Football code] in Australia' articles anyway.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 06:03, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Most successful clubs overall table

I think this table needs to be defined a bit more. My guess is it's probably created by a South Melbourne or Melbourne Knights fan, hungering for the good old days, and to make them look better than MV some where. I digress.

• What is the basis for choosing those competitions? What counts as a 'major trophy'?

• Why isn't the Australia Cup included for instance?
• What about the NPL national finals series? Is this because no Victorian clubs have won this? To future proof it, surely this should be included?

• Also what is the cut off for the table? Is it a top 10 list or a list of any club who has won a major trophy?

• If it's a top 10, then there are currently 11 clubs in the list.
• If it's all major trophy winners, then how come Melbourne City's FFA Cup win, doesn't get them in the list?
