Was hoping for some mention of name origin / etymology edit
I came here based on a place of this name mentioned in Voltaire's Candide (in English). Clearly, this isn't the place to which he referred, but I was disappointed there wasn't mention of where the name comes from, or why it was taken for this place. - I was also here for the origin of the town's name, Smyrna. The town of Izmir in Turkiye was also called Smyrna in Greek.
