- I disagree. Smoke Hole Canyon is a proper noun, but the canyon is not, the same way that University of Oxford is a proper noun, but later references to the university are lower case (see MOS:GEOUNITS). That said, I don't care that much. Do you have any objection if I go back and fix the species common name and make the other changes? SchreiberBike | ⌨ 20:55, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Info to add edit
The family Shirks and Kimbles can be found in the late 1700s in Smoke Holes and thier Graves are still there in a family cemetery. Please look up potomac highland roots Henry Shirk Jr for proof 2600:387:F:5614:0:0:0:3 (talk) 22:02, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
