couple of examples edit

This article could probably use a couple of examples.

(Above comment from IP 62.163.167.174 at 21:01, 31 May 2006) - added from history after noticing it was unsigned. Owl 15:42, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Googling for these risk assessment levels seems to turn up only wikis (and sites dependent on wikipedia, like answers.com), generally with exactly the same text. Could somebody please confirm that this system is real, and preferably clarify who created and uses it (the US?). Thanks. Owl 15:42, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Further from my comment above, it seems that these risk levels were added (view diff) by an IP address that now stands accused of vandalism. I have asked on his talk page, but the IP's last activity seems to be last year. I'll ask once more, can anyone else verify that these security levels are real, and if so, please provide a reference for them. Owl 18:43, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

They certainly look arbitrary to me. Part of the reason there are so few examples is because real-life examples are not as abundant as pop fiction would make them seem. Personally, I'd say delete the whole thing and redirect to Sleeper agents. Dchall1 19:12, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Appropriate surveillance? edit

This article now suggests "appropriate surveillance" for different "types" of sleeper cells. Is it in Wikipedia's area to mandate how much a person would be put under surveillance, or maybe it is just a political point of view? I suggest those sentences will be deleted. /Ulf Abrahamsson 07:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redirect edit

Cleaned up the disambiguation page to be more clear and to include the redirect that was here more explicitly, and then switched the redirect to that page. I did this because a substantial number of people (myself included) entered "Sleeper Cell" looking for the television series rather than the organizational structure. --Kajerm (talk) 15:48, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I changed it back to the old redirect to Clandestine cell system, but I added a redirect template on that page ("Sleeper cell redirects here, for other uses see Sleeper cell (disambiguation).") I thought this was a cleaner fix that avoided redirecting to a disambig page. --Kajerm (talk) 18:04, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
