Clara longest companion in revived series edit
I have mathematically worked out that, after this episode, Clara will have been in more episodes as a companion than any other companion in the revived series (she will have appeared in 33 episodes; Amy Pond, in second place, has appeared in 32 episodes as a companion). - The problem is, what episodes are you counting? Some might not be considered episodes where Clara is a companion (due to how the Impossible Girl concept was introduced). If the BBC or a secondary source make that statement, then're we're fine. --MASEM (t) 15:03, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
- The episodes I counted were the ones Wikipedia infoboxes have stated Amy and Clara were companions in, so "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe" and "Asylum of the Daleks" were not part of the calculation. So Clara has done 33 episodes so far, the 2012 Christmas special (1 episode), Series 7 part 2 (8 episodes), 2013 specials (2 episodes), series 8 (12 episodes), 2014 Christmas special (1 episode) and series 9 up to 'Sleep no More' inclusive (9 episodes). Amy did series 5 (13 episodes), 2010 Christmas special (1 episode), series 6 (12 episodes) and series 7 part 1 (5 episodes). I realised when typing this up that Amy wasn't a companion in "Closing Time" , so she actualy did 31 episodes as companion (not 32). So, according to the rule I created using Wikipedia infoboxes, Clara beat the record after "The Zygon Invasion".Theoosmond(talk)(warn) 17:30, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

- Could this article in Radio Times in December 2014 be used as a source? It counts Amy as 33 episodes, and Clara as 36 by the end of series 9. Technically Amy wasn't a companion in "Closing Time" as she does not interact with the Doctor, but she does appear in the episode and Karen Gillan is credited in the opening titles. --Canley (talk) 13:19, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Gender of 474 edit
So we know the "grunt" character 474 is played by transsexual comedian Bethany Black, but is the character male or female (or neither)? There is a gender nominative term "herself/himself" in the sentence about 474's sacrifice to save Chopra. There's some back and forth editing going on, with the latest that the character is male but played by a female actor. I originally reverted the term to "herself", based on writer Mark Gatiss's reference to 474 as "she" in this interview with BBC America (and he is specifically referring to the character, not the actor): "The sort of idiot-savant, that’s what she’s like. She’s bred for war, but unexpectedly is in love with this other soldier because she thinks he’s pretty, and he hates it. But I love this idea of this sort of lumbering soldier who is sort of simple. And then when Clara finds out that she’s a clone, and they’re just breeding them for war, that’s what the tattoo is. She’s just been stamped with it in the factory." Is there any "official" reference to the character being "male", or is it being assumed based on the character's appearance? --Canley (talk) 23:56, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
