  • Collapse of the World Trade Center
  • Progressive Collapse
  • Skyline Tower (merely a "See also" this article)

This 1973 collapse was a pancake collapse of concrete floors much like the "progressive collapse" of the World Trade Center towers. It ran from the 24th floor of the planned 26-story tower down into a subbasement. IMHO this is a great article guys, thanks, and the "Progressive Collapse" authors may have to reconsider their claim that the WTC is the only example of the total collapse of a steel-frame tower. Glad I was in Australia when Route 7 was closed for weeks of dump-truck traffic working to clear Virginia's own Ground Zero.

Sorry, the article doesn't make any precise description the building's structure. How could we assume it was a steel framed structure similar to the WTCs? The word "steel" appears only 1 time on all the article "The cascading concrete and steel killed 14 people and injured 34 others" Please complete properly that stuff in order to not feed speculations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grizouk (talkcontribs) 13:52, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
