separate article edit
Siopao should be separate from Mantou for cultural, etc. reasons.--Guest818 16:27, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Agree. Siopao is not a mantou: it is what is known in Chinese as a baozi. Bathrobe 01:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
What are they made of? edit
So now we know about the filling, what's the bun itself made of, please? Maikel 10:33, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Bun or dumpling? edit
Quote: in English it is simply known as steamed buns ... I would describe them as filled dumplings, actually. Maikel 19:23, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Merge with Baozi edit
Since Siopao is just Hokkien for Baozi it would be better if the two articles would be merged together. Arnis birada 01:00PM August 17. 2014 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arnis birada (talk • contribs) 05:02, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Philippine cuisine edit
Sorry, I'm new to this, but shouldn't the dropdown box at the bottom be the Philippine cuisine template and not the Thai one? Or it could be both? Since it is famous for being Filipino-Chinese in origin, it just doesn't make sense to have the Thai dropdown box there. Jfred90 (talk) 17:18, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
More Information edit
We need more information about Siopao, such as its history. Qingmei95 07:53, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
I don't know how to edit the Wikipedia:WikiLove default menu, but here's some siopao as a WikiLove template to share with all.
DoctorWho42 has given you a siopao! Siopao promotes WikiLove (📖💞) and hopefully this one has made your day better. Siopaos are wonderfully delicious! They are a Chinese-Filipino snack, may contain beef, chicken, pork, salted duck egg or shrimp; and popular in the Philippines and Thailand. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a siopao, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
Spread the goodness of siopaos by adding {{subst:Siopao for you}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message!
