1) The data provided on the Singtel Mobile stub is out of date as the statistics that they provided was from the year 2010. It is possible to update this information to more recent years. Singtel mobile is the biggest mobile operator in Singapore, with 3.81 million customers and 47.2% mobile phone market share as of 2013. There is also room for more updates on Singtel Mobile’s achievements. Besides being the first mobile phone operator in Singapore to launch the iPhone in 2008, it was also the first to introduce nationwide dual-band long-term evolution (LTE) or 4G coverage with speeds up to 150Mbps. Singtel Mobile’s current mobile networking coverage is 97%. 2) To be specific, “Singtel Mobile” should be named “Singtel Mobile Singapore” instead. Source: http://info.singtel.com/About-Us/SGmobile

3) There are forms of unsourced opinions since no citations were given to substantiate the point, “It enjoyed a monopoly over the mobile telecommunications market until market liberalisation in the 1990s.” We propose this link for reference: http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_1610_2011-03-21.html

4) More information is needed to give user a better understanding of the current mobile telecommunications market. The Singapore government had ended Singtel’s monopoly in the mobile telecommunications market in 1996. Singtel’s license to be sole provider of mobile services ended in 1997. Singtel was given compensation of S$1.5billion from the government with the introduction of full market liberalisation. Singtel mobile phone and paging segment were faced with fierce competition from rivals such as Starhub and MobileOne Source: http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_1610_2011-03-21.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clarissalim (talkcontribs) 10:10, 24 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
