Moved to 'undivided highway'?

edit

Would undivided highway be a better article title with single carriageway in brackets rather than the other way round? I suggest it would be good to standardise on American English for the core road terms. Undivided highway is also the more common term on the web according to Google. Here are other road related terms (American English term first, then British and a wlink on the relevant entry):

As you can see there is currently a lack of consistency across the articles which is confusing.

Any thoughts

The British scheme is far more widespread across articles and should generally be retained unless it can be shown that the American term is in use internationally (and the British not). Certain articles need to be reworked and merged, as we have far too many articles to cover different types of roads (when a single article on "road" could cover everything in detail). - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 20:50, 25 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Tree lawn isn't used at all in the UK. Not only is the term unknown, but British suburbs simply aren't laid out like this. --Ef80 (talk) 13:49, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
The USA and UK terms for verge were indeed reversed on this talk page. I have also fixed the order. The 'Tree Lawn' article has also been renamed Road verge which I have fixed and another minor issue above. PeterEastern (talk) 04:58, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
