Dude, this article is so grossly propagandistic. 10 of 18 is not "most" by any stretch. None of the 4 "notable" alumni seem notable to me. (Oh yeah and any strawhead can run for President of the United States... governor of Virginia isn't any more difficult. A failed candidate, further more. Being the first American female pilot isn't notable, not on its own. As for the cellist - no Wikipedia article, not notable. Heh. Writer of history books - not notable. Oh and Early Childhood Center? How typically American...

This person obviously lacks basic math skills. There are six schools competing. One schools gets 10 out of 18 medals. That means there are 8 medals left, split between five other schools. Assuming that the other schools came away with at least one medal, the maximum that each other school got would be two medals.

When one school gets 10 medals, and the rest get no more than 2 each, that's "most" by a large stretch.

And let's see you run for governor of Virgnia. Being the first American female pilot is notable. Baker is awesome. He rocks lke mad. Let's see YOU shave your mustache off for Pakistan! I bet you don't even have one, hmmmmm? As for the cellist, look her up on Google, you moron. If you think notability relies on being on Wikipedia, then you have no life.

Sorry, bud. This is an "American" school, thus the spelling of Early Childhood Center. Also note that many Wikipedia spellings are based off "American English". For example, article color. Please note the comment: "Please do not change the spelling of color to colour. Wikipedia policy is to leave the English variation alone in this case, not to have a war about versions of English. You would also break the links and categories. Changing the spelling will be treated as vandalism, and for this reason will be swiftly reverted. Oh, additional comment. What does "14:41, 2 January 2006 Miborovsky (pwnt by the Chinese High School, Singapore)" mean. Aren't admins supposed to be somewhat... impartial? Even some pretense would be nice. Or maybe that edit was done by an acquaintance. I assume too much. I apologize.

If you look through this article's history, you'll see that this text was added into the article in May 2005. The website you refer to (Organization Research Guide at www.123exp-orgs.com) was only created in August 2006 (see: http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=123exp-orgs&tld=com). This is clearly as case of this site copying its text from Wikipedia, not the other way around. Singopo (talk) 07:50, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Some Changes Needed

I'm a sophomore who currently goes to this school in 2012, I don't know if anyone cares anymore, but some of the information is regarding the school facilities. For example, there aren't 10 soccer/football fields, there is the stadium field, a turf field, a bumpy grass field, and a tiny field that accompanies one of the softball fields. Also there are 4 auxiliary gyms shared by middle school and high school, and a main gym for both middle school and high school. And one semi-Olympic pool. yeah just saying, and so I'm going to stop procrastinating on my science project. Needs More Sources

This article is evidently lacking quality sourcing. In the instances in which sourcing is provided, many of the time the source leads to a dead or blank link. This therefore makes it impossible to determine whether the information is true or not. This is especially important within the Extracurricular section, as not only are there an immense number of dead links but also what seems to be opinion. For example, certain clubs seem to be prioritized, but we cannot be sure of their true worth without something backing up the claims. The reason Wikipedia has come under criticism in the past is due to opinion-heavy articles, and I fear that the criticism may be valid in this case.

I work for Singapore American School currently as the Director of Communications. It has been years since the content on our page was refreshed to reflect current practices and statistics. I would like to run a series of changes by you for approval. I will not edit the page directly to stay in compliance with COI requests, but would like to get help form someone to help make these changes.

Can we change the introduction to the following information?

Singapore American School (SAS) is a non-profit, independent, co-educational day school located in the Woodlands area of Singapore. SAS offers an American-based curriculum for students in preschool through high school. One of Singapore’s first international schools, SAS was founded in 1956, and started with a hundred students in a colonial house. It has since developed into a school of nearly 4,000 students on a 36-acre campus, the largest single-campus international school in the world. It is also the largest American-curriculum school outside the United States.

Students at SAS hold passports from around fifty different countries, with approximately two-thirds of them being United States citizens. Few Singaporean students attend the school as Singapore government regulations prevent most local students from attending international schools within the country. The majority of the teachers come from the U.S., and staff members from over twenty other countries also work at SAS. Most are hired overseas, and three-quarters hold master’s or doctorate degrees. The maximum number of students per class in the Early Childhood Center (ECC) is 16, while for grades K through 12 it is 22.

Traditional academic subjects are complemented by offerings of foreign languages, art, music, dance, physical education, sports, technology, and community service. Teachers integrate their host country into their lessons with frequent field trips and service opportunities, as well as Singapore-based social studies and history units. Air-conditioned classrooms, gyms, libraries and theaters are balanced by many open-air spaces including courtyards, playgrounds, fountains, a rainforest, an eco-garden, and extensive playing fields.

I have all of the sources to confirm everything stated here. I am new to Wikipedia and Ive tried to read about the next step for someone in my position, but wasn't quite clear on who approves any changes I suggest. I agree, the page seems not to have been touched for years, at least in any constructive way, so I started updating it with some of the suggestions below and added citations. I've also removed a few broken links and sentences that didn't seem unbiased. I hope others will also add correct info. My children have gone to the school for many years now, so I feel qualified to do some revisions. SingCDS (talk) 02:13, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

JustBerry, Can you please explain why you replaced my revisions with the previous information? You left me a message that I hadn't cite a reliable source. In fact, I added over 20 citations, from websites, books, and school publications. I also removed links that no longer work, or only work if you are a subscriber to that source (such as the "Good Schools Guide"). Before writing, I looked at other cites for similar organizations (large, nonprofit independent schools) and they all cite similar sources, such as the school's website, annual reports, and admissions information. If you let me know which citations were not acceptable, I will try to change them, but I don't think replacing the entire revision with old information (that several users, above, agree is out-of-date and incorrect) is the way to go here.SingCDS (talk) 07:55, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Citations Evaluation

The citations are relevant and working, but some of the sources are from online newspapers that may not be very reliable. The School facilities section is lacking citations. Under the high school subsection in School organisation and divisions, the Quest program and Catalyst Project lack citations and are not explained. The Faculty section has only one citation, which is slightly outdated. Are there more recent sources for faculty statistics? Ljk3 (talk) 02:24, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Updates needed

Hi all, some of the revamps and renovations the school has undergone since July 2021 have invalidated and/or outdated the School facilities, Food services, and Woodlands campus history portions of the article.
