editThe whole bit in this section about the "EPA" sound being produced by Sinestro's ring is completely false and seems to have been written by an overzealous Simpsons fan. I would remove it but I'm new to editing and am not sure how that would affect the table of contents. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.189.180.107 (talk) 10:01, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Question
editShould this entry include how Guy Gardner managed to steal the yellow power ring from a dead Sinestro? Harvestdancer 15:16, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
- I don't see why not. --InShaneee 04:34, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
Apologies
editMy apologies to all the people who have worked so hard on this entry, but someone suggested I take a look at this entry. I will be slashing the intricate life chronology of Sinestro's fake existence down into a couple paragraphs during the next few days, particularly the part about the one day he drinks his coffee black because he forgot to buy the creamer he likes. And then, pehaps, we can have a nice little entry about an unpleasant-looking purple man. --Chris Griswold 07:30, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- An IP editor copied and pasted most of http://www.glcorps.org/sinestro.html and that's a big copyright violation. I suggest removing the offending text. --waffle iron talk 16:32, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- I just removed the material. --waffle iron talk 16:37, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Retcon
editShouldn't someone mention this whole "mentor of Hal Jordan" is a retcon. If you go back to the 1960s issues, Sinestro was not his mentor. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.117.6.117 (talk) 15:27, 11 February 2007 (UTC).
- Quite. I came to the article to find out exactly that, at what point the idea that Sinestro trained Hal Jordan had entered the Green Lantern narrative. The "fictional character biography" doesn't give any details about how the character developed in the real world (with details like this retcon), so I added the {{Comics-in-universe}} template; perhaps a Green Lantern expert can add that material. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 05:08, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Sinestro Corps
editWe're going to be needing a Sinestro Corps page pretty soon. --69.136.111.100 19:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Emerald dawn II.jpg
editImage:Emerald dawn II.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:41, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Sinestro's appearance during the Spectre series
editI remember reading a story about Sinestro's return from death as a spirit during that run of the Spectre where Hal was the spirit of vengeance. It concluded with Sinestro being sent back to Hell. I don't know if this is still in continuity or not, but if it is, shouldn't it be up here somewhere? 71.61.87.58 20:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Turk
CBR article about Sinestro
editI found this while I was clearing out my bookmarks from when I was writing the Sinestro Corps War article. It could be useful in sourcing his character biography. --Hemlock Martinis (talk) 16:52, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

The Dark Knight

Etymology
editIs it likely that the name Sinestro came from the spanish word "siniestro"? 2605:E000:2E54:8F0:2DAA:A277:4F9B:998B (talk) 03:39, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
