Clock simuls edit
Just curious - does anyone know what time controls are usually used for clock simuls? I tried looking for the time control used in the Kasparov vs. Czech national team event from a few years back but couldn't find anything. youngvalter 01:17, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Distance edit
Has anyone ever written of the distances covered by the Simul-giver? Walking might be the most difficult part of a Simultaneous for most chess masters. Depending on the layout of the boards, a master might cover miles in a few hours.Abenr (talk) 15:35, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
- I just went to a simul (30 players vs the GM) and I don't think each lap required walking more than 25 meters. Sixty moves would make it 1500 m, which is not even one mile. I don't think walking a mile slowly would be strenuous to most people. But like you say, it depends on the layout.
