Participation in If.... edit

Where is his participation in If.... disputed? IMdB says he was in it, albeit uncredited. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 10:42, 16 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Date of birth edit

Re this edit: What we have here is an anonymous editor who is asserting that his daughter, his agent and his birth certificate all say he was born on 16 October 1941, although all reference books have consistently given us the date 19 October 1941. We cannot diverge from what reliable sources say, merely on the say-so of an editor, however well-intentioned they may be. We need proper citations for any, preferably all, of the above 3 claims. I note IMDb has changed their date to 16 October, but we can't use IMDb since they're not considered a reliable source. -- ♬ Jack of Oz[your turn] 00:23, 28 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

A friend writes that the Times obituary gives it as 16 October. Or do they get their dates from WP?! Rothorpe (talk) 19:37, 4 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
His 2016 entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, which cites his birth certificate among it's sources, states he was born October 16th. As this is more recently researched and published than the sources which say the 19th, then we should consider it to be the most authoritative of the bunch.
