Evidence of claim? edit

"for much of the nineties these imitations of his style became the dominant form of artwork in 2000 AD."

This seems very POV. I was a reader of 2000AD in the 90s, and the style was extremely diverse.

I am removing this as POV.

Trvia edit

Simon's first 2000ad credit (ABC Warriors) was actually listed as 'steven bisley'. I have that issue - thought this could go somewhere? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.155.224.150 (talk) 18:24, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dear Simon

Hi

I have been dying to talk with you for a long while. I went to conventions when i was younger i have also done very well in the art world and earnt money from painting book covers and illustration. I agree totaly with what you say in your articles about learning to draw and art teachers not been able to draw. I went to Kingston University and i passed a 2.1 in illustration and got work from bbc holidays magazine and then hodder and stoughton. i do fine black and white drawings using a rotring pen and i find this makes the best marks you can almost end up painting with the pen. I have brought out a comic called Slade which is 10 pages in ful colour and was commisioned years ago by Tundra Publishing which has now closed. I need to buy a new air brush because the ones i have got only suck up the paint from underneath. Your stuff is very inspiring i can send you a few jpgs of my work if you want. My comic which i wrote and illustrated is in a few news agents and i boutgh one of your ABC warriors pages a few years back and also a signed poster of Jo Pineapples. People like my work. Goodluck

all the best Duncan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Duncan mitchell (talkcontribs) 08:45, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think Simon Bisley never used airbrushes and stated he hated that technique.
