2 articulated two section EMUs Be 8/8 531, 532 edit

Not quite sure how to reconcile the designation Be 8/8, which implies 8 axles, with the description articulated two-section. Most two-section articulated vehicles have 6 axles, whilst most 8-axle articulated vehicles have three sections. I suppose a Be 8/8 two-section vehicle isn't entirely impossible (eg. if it had a C-B-C type arrangement) but it seems pretty unlikely.

I have seen the vehicles in question, and at the time I assumed they were actually non-articulated twin car units (B-B+B-B). However that may just have been an assumption, so I cannot really correct the article, and I havn't found a useful source. Anybody help?. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 12:03, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
