Requested move 15 May 2017 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Move. With no other blue links on the dab page, it serves no real purpose. It will be deleted and Signal Knob (Virginia) will be moved to Signal Knob. Per AjaxSmack's comment below, others can be added to List of peaks named Signal if sources are found. Cúchullain t/c 14:16, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Signal Knob (Virginia)Signal Knob – Move the page Signal Knob (Virginia) over the existing page Signal Knob. Signal Knob is currently a disambiguation page with one bluelink entry (to this page Signal Knob (Virginia)) and 5 redlinks, none of which has any mention in Wikipedia - the article Signal Knob therefore effectively has no content and is deletable under WP:G6. • Support I'm not so sure about G6, but disambiguation page that leads to just one actual article need not exist. —A L T E R C A R I   19:13, 15 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Conditional Support: I agree that a one-working-link disambig page is not needed, but I believe that the other Signal Knobs are just as notable as the one in Virginia. For now, I support the moving of Signal Knob (Virginia) to simply Signal Knob on the condition that should an article about one of the other "knobs" be created, Signal Knob goes back to a disambig page and the Virginia "knob" goes back to it's current place. - NeutralhomerTalk • 21:29 on May 15, 2017 (UTC)
  • Support. If articles about other Signal Knobs are created we can revisit. For now at least, for better or for worse, this is the one and only one we cover. --В²C 23:12, 15 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
