The actual name is since 1st of August 2018 Siemens Mobility GmbH. It's an independent company now. For end of 2018/ begin 2019 a merger with Alstom SA is planned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:A62:1433:3700:39FA:9AD6:29AD:5F33 (talk) 19:15, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup! edit

Same problems as described at Talk:Siemens#Cleanup!

Lists, no references, GSM piece looks like vague advert, List of clients without context, list of products better dealt via category? +extra work.Shortfatlad (talk) 23:10, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Name change edit

The division is called Rail Systems since October 2011. I will move the page to the new name shortly. --STTW (talk) 11:22, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Maybe it would be worth waiting until the websites catch up and there is a reliable source for the structure? Oranjblud (talk) 12:09, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Siemens has now 4 divisions:
http://www.siemens.com/about/en/businesses/index.htm
Rail Systems belongs to Infrastructure and Cities division:

Since Oct. 2011 parts of earlier mobility division belong to Rail Systems (read last paragraph):

Seems that not all Siemens websites have been updated! The German websites seem OK!? --STTW (talk) 12:31, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
My mistake - I was looking at the Siemens' page and saw a "mobility" section so assumed it hadn't been updated. Wasn't paying proper attention - I see it now http://www.siemens.com/about/en/businesses/index.htm
I remember now - found one http://www.railjournal.com/newsflash/siemens-to-launch-new-infrastructure-and-cities-business-unit-1332.html - Odd that the new websites haven't been made yet.
Yes it looks like some business areas formerly in "Mobility" may now be in "Mobility and logistics" http://www.siemens.com/about/en/businesses/infrastructure_and_cities/mobility_and_logistics.htm
I'm trying to find an original Siemens' press release for this to see what has gone where in this shuffle.Oranjblud (talk) 15:37, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
