Talk:Siegfried Jerusalem

What a name! edit

I've always wondered what the "story" is behind his name -- surely one of the most striking in all of classical music. To start with, where does the family name "Jerusalem" come from -- and how does a boy born into the Jerusalem family get named "Siegfried"? (It makes me wonder if he has siblings and what their names are.) And then, of course, how remarkable (and perhaps ironic) that someone with those names ends up as a Wagnerian heldentenor. If anybody has the answers to any of these questions, please be kind enough to add that info to the article. Regards, Cgingold (talk) 13:02, 16 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
