Are you sure about the siege's casualties?
French wikipédia gives 12 000 dead for russian army and 30 000 dead for ottoman army.

There were a number of sieges of Izmail. I think this content should be moved to Siege of Izmail (1790), which, confusingly, exists as a redirect to the Izmail article, which has some info about all the sieges.
