Hi, your affirmation about anaerobic exercise-related complications should be referred to any study or observation. I previously thought that all kind of activity could be involved in adverse events in sickle cell trait carriers. Did you have any idea about mechanisms involved that allow you to say that "exercise-related complications can occured, especially in response to anaerobic exertion" (or something like that) ? In 2016, it was estimated that in the US, "about 9% blacks (3 million people), 0.2% Caucasians, and 1.5% babies in USA have" sickle cell trait (The Lancet). The CDC's current estimates state that 1/365 Black children and 1/16300 Hispanic children are born with sickle cell disease/anemia with minimal reporting on the prevalence of Caucasians because it is even lower BluePenguin18 🐧 ( 💬 ) 19:41, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
