Is this still a current event? --Candlewicke Consortiums Limited 20:31, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would argue that it was never really an event anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.89.206.18 (talk) 23:47, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Only in New Zealand or OZ would shearing a sheep be considered important news... :-p —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.114.58.46 (talk) 20:43, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

It wasn't considered important news here either. It was a "human interest story" (yet more proof that I'm not human - I wasn't at all interested). Grutness...wha? 00:26, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Book edit

The children's board book "One Sneaky Sheep" tells the story of a sheep named Nigel who evades the farmer because his coat is too beautiful to sheer. If my web search is right, the book is not related to Shrek. AndrewHZ (talk) 21:40, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistency edit

The sources for the article are inconsistent. They say Shrek was nine or ten years old when he was sheared in April 2004, and that he was sheared again on his tenth birthday in November 2006. These dates are approximately 30 months apart. Clearly, he can't have been ten years old on both dates. Perhaps the age of a sheep cannot be readily determined and the media/owners were simply guessing an age for him. Thanks to Grant for pointing this out.-gadfium 03:53, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is the photo Shrek? edit

Doesn't look much like him, perhaps because he is shorn and cleaner than usual; what do you think?

Follow the photo to its flickr page and read the comments underneath. Schwede66 22:43, 9 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
