There is a contention that miso soup is made in a similar fashion as shiro. I argue that is unlikely since miso is made with fermented rice...not chickpeas. --Merhawie 01:19, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, it just occurred to me that this is probably someone confusing Shiro the chickpea paste with shiro miso. I'll remove the reference to miso.
