D-Day Participation edit

The prior version of this article stated Lett participated in the D-Day landings, which was supported by the UBC Senate Memorial Tributes reference. As Lett was commander of 4th Bde., Canadian 2nd Div. from 27 Feb 1944 to 18 Jul 1944 (see Stacey reference) this would be impossible. Canadian 2nd Div. did not participate in the D-day landings and did not mobilize to France until early July 1944. Lett was wounded by enemy mortar fire on 18 Jul 1944, the first day of 4th Bde's first action in Normandy (Operation Atlantic). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Katy biker (talkcontribs) 07:24, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
