The restrictions on trail use vary and only small portions if any are designated for motorised use, except for portions that follow existing roads. The Red River Gorge does not allow mountainbikes on many trails but does have 4x4 designated routes. A missing sign is not an excuse in the eyes of enforcement officers so check first and get maps. Plan routes and let someone know your plans. Every year people die from getting lost or hurt while in these wilderness areas resulting in massive expense for search & rescue effort. Letting someone know where you are planning to go and sticking to your plan along with proper preparation can help to avoid a tradgity...

New 333 mi route edit

I cannot find any information about this online other than the official ST website, which simply states the route is now 333 mi. I have seen this posted a few times, but cannot find an updated map or incremental total adding up to 333 miles. The 319 and 323 mile routes are readily available, but it would be good to reference this new mileage somewhere. Sam metal (talk) 18:52, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
