Although allegorical, Nimoy had violated the Torah warning that Jews are forbidden to make an image of the L-D in any form see Aniconism in Judaism; likewise his use of tallit and tefillin (which try to focuss the wearer with inward prayer and not inmodest temptations) with the context of nudity could be looked upon as disrespectful toward modesty.
