Newer builds

edit

I believe that there are newer, more stable, and more usable builds available. The Emaculation forums include information on them. --Wspencer11 (talk to me...) 13:05, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Holy run-on sentence

edit

I'm not entirely sure what this sentence means - could someone rewrite it so it makes sense? It comes from the last paragraph of the current version. It has numerous grammatical, capitalization, and readability errors (and uses multiple spellings of "Mac OS X" as well).

" In the Time while Linux distro's like YDL are made, some developers compiled the source code of the SheepShaver to port it to the PowerPC architecture, then the memory management unit are enabled, because the software in this stage will not translate the binaries or emulate the PowerPC ,then SheepShaver are able to run some MacOSX ,like Mac OS X v10.0, Mac OS X Public Beta ,and Mac OS X Server 1.0 it. as is the case with Basilisk II, and thus cannot run later versions of Mac OS 9 or any version of Mac OS X, which is best emulated by PearPC " —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.127.173.233 (talk) 20:15, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Independent sources needed

edit

Surely this has been covered. Help! Couldn't find any non-forum non-blog non-press-release writeups yet. --Lexein (talk) 10:39, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

New version number

edit

They haven't made a release of it yet but a few months back in the development repo the version number has been bumped to 2.4. Maybe the page should say "preview version: 2.4" or "unstable version: 2.4" or something like that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.82.120.78 (talk) 16:59, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Citation" needed

edit

Not sure why the existence of a Windows build needs a citation, but if someone wants to add it, here you go: https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5325&sid=7ab5186fb94dc729592579283b37dcc8 107.5.170.33 (talk) 11:43, 13 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion?

edit

Recently, a related software page - Basilisk_II - has been marked for proposed deletion because it lacks significant coverage by reliable sources. In particular, its only references are a Github source code repository, a wiki, and the official page for the software (a non-independent source).

In comparing the sources for this article, I found it also only features sources which are specifically called out as unreliable sources (wikis, official homepages, and personal blogs) that do not qualify an article for notability and hence inclusion in Wikipedia.

User:Woodroar and others - in your opinions, would this article also be a candidate for deletion based on the official notability guidelines?
