Wrong governing body in box edit
The wrong governing body appears in the infobox. U.S. National Forests are under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The U.S. Forest Service would be considered the governing body. Fixing now, just wanted to leave a note. 69.137.246.61 (talk) 05:47, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
What a short article edit
This article REALLY needs to be expanded... maybe I'll log in and do it myself some day. There are so many unique things in the Shawnee... and there should probably be a section dedicated to the access issues... many of said 'things' are inaccessible or difficult to reach. Incomplete List of Sections edit
I agree with the commenter above. There is a Geology Section, but no Biology/Ecology section? This forest is one of the most diverse bioregions in the entire nation, and its geology is very unique as well as diverse, from prairie regions to cypress swamps and trees estimated to be over 1000 years old- no mention of that either.
