Proposed deletion of Shawn Stuckey article
editI originally created this article, and while I fully understand (and concur, to a large degree) with the reasons raised by the reviewer who proposed its deletion (it DID need some work in the "self-promotion" department), I wonder if the corrections and reductions I have made here would be sufficient to spare the article from that fate. I have never met Mr. Stuckey personally; he and I simply share a common "home town", and that made me interested in his life and career. If you still have objections to the wording or otherwise of this article, please let me know what you would suggest by way of improvement, and I'll be glad to see what I can do as opposed to seeing the article deleted, if I may. Thank you! - Ecjmartin (talk) 03:17, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
This article does not meet Wikipedia standards. The person is not notable, the entry reads as if it was written by the subject, and there are no independent sources verifying the veracity of the subject's story aside from what he has written in his website. This entry will be delted. (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.171.29.108 (talk) 19:31, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
UCLA Law Review
editI do not think that his article was published by the UCLA Law Review since it is in its 55th volume at this moment. Thus, I do think that it was not the UCLA Law Review but another journal at UCLA. Shawn D Stuckey's website information seems to be incorrect on this point. Will change in 48 hours unless someone can correct me. Thanks! -JMB —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.90.138.60 (talk) 10:20, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Removed this sentence due to concerns noted above. If anyone can provide a verifiable source, please feel free to edit or restore the deleted information.--Ecjmartin (talk) 13:05, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
