Shastri river originates at Prachiti fort in the Sahyadri range in Sangameshwar Taluka of Ratnagiri district.the total length of the river is 64 km. During the journey of this river,sonvi maeets its tributary,Sangameshwar. Later the combined flow of these two rivers became known as Shastri.
