It's a start edit

Not my best work but I haven't seen it since 1996. Hopefully having the page here will trigger some more recent viewers. The best thing about Astoria is this play WNW3 (talk) 19:41, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

This should be easy to establish. Between sourcing and getting a number for the times its been performed multiplied by the audience numbers 198.6.33.13 (talk) 19:34, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Audience number/performance numbers do not really mean much. Hopefully they would translate into coverage by the media, and thus coverage by Wikipedia defined reliable sources. It is that coverage (must be significant and not trivial) by independent, reliable sources as covered by WP:CORP/WP:N that will allow this to pass the notability requirement. I was just reading WP:CORP actually. Hopfully the page will get some help. 198.6.33.13 (talk) 21:44, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I'm doing some research and seeing what a similar sized venue in the same local uses for notability Columbia River Maritime Museum, but maybe that's not notable either. Researching. 198.6.33.13 (talk) 22:01, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, for comparison check out the Oregon Shakespeare Festival on a much less grand scale 198.6.33.13 (talk) 22:21, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the information, perhaps you could help collect more information for the article as well as educating me? 198.6.33.13 (talk) 22:49, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I have plenty of other stuff to do. :) Katr67 (talk) 23:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned edit

How do you tell how many articles are linked to an article? 198.6.33.13 (talk) 21:58, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Click on "What links here" in the toolbox on the lefthand side of the article. Katr67 (talk) 22:41, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Nice, thank you 198.6.33.13 (talk) 22:50, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ford Foundation = the Ford Family Foundation? edit

I don't think that are the same thing. One is based in Michigan and one is based in Roseburg Oregon http://www.tfff.org/ 24.20.200.29 (talk) 03:40, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fixed Duh. My bad. Is it notable enough to be linked for a future article? I'll redirect to Hallie Ford for now. Katr67 (talk) 04:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I suspect it is notable enough, considering the number of times it has turned up in things I've been researching. Since there hasn't been an article I hadn't linked it before. —EncMstr 04:25, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Plot summery edit

Eric doesn't save Virginia from Max Krooke. Yakko and Eino save Eric from Sneeke, Krooke's accomplice. Krooke had Sneeke drug and kidnap Eric so that Krooke can marry Virginia (Eric's sweetheart) and inherit all of her money. Weidmanc (talk) 22:44, 11 November 2009 (UTC) [1]Reply

Agreed, I don't think 1904 is accurate either. I think it is supposed to be in the 1800s 24.22.126.129 (talk) 05:02, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Number of people who have seen the play edit

FYI: I went to a show yesterday and the MC claimed it had been seen by over 90,000 people now. No idea how they got that number or how to source it but thought it might be helpful to mention.24.22.126.129 (talk) 04:58, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Additional innacuracies edit

So, about Josh Marquis playing the Sheriff, I believe for most shows they raffle off that role during the second intermission. I think that part should be removed. Also, about the move to the new theater...yeah, they are there and have been for quite a while, 129 W Bond St, Astoria, OR 97103 [2] 24.22.126.129 (talk) 05:08, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
