Source for the Rema
editI was of the impression that the Terumas ha-Deshen predates the Rema. What is the source for the Rema's statement? JFW | T@lk 09:47, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- When I rewrote this article, I quoted the sources (listed in the Sources section) that cited the Rema's ruling, and I left in the sentence about the Terumas HaDeshen from the original article, but I'm afraid I'm not qualified to research your question. Yoninah (talk) 20:53, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
I was of the impression that relying on the Kitzur and more obscure texts should not be the meat and potatoes of such an article. There is a lot of mysticism involved in this tradition, especially when the author has denoted a particular gemarah that is aggaditic in nature. It would be nice to see this article fleshed out as to whether there is a Maimonidean source for it. 216.195.89.59 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:59, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
