Interviewer: How does Shabnam feel when her big secret comes out?

Thakrar: Well, it is something she's been dreading for many years so like with any secret that you've been holding for that long, it is like ripping a plaster off or a burn or something, you know, it is absolutely devastating for her and that is one of the reasons why it is frosty between Kush and Shabnam. It is because she has to keep him at a distance because she is scared that she is going to loose him, which inevitably she pushes him away into Stacey's arms and it is kind of her own fault.

Interviewer: Do you hope in the long term Shabnam might want to be a mum to this child?

Thakrar: We don't know - I would hope so. I don't know what they [show bosses] are planning but I would love to see that. I'd love to see her trying to make amends, well I don't know if you can ever make amends for something like that, but you know, try to build a relationship with this little girl and then when the secret does come out to Masood, which is soon, that is quite explosive. People keep making jokes about him being a bad ass Masmood.
