The article reads like an essay rather than an encyclopedia entry. Also the number of links is too high - they should offer extra info rather than just pointing to sites. 2 or 3 is a good number.Peter Rehse 02:58, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I propose to merge this page and the KDS page; they have material in common. I think the discussion of the style is relevant, but perhaps it should be introduced by a more formal and short definition of the word. This would make the article more like an encyclopedia entry. In addition to Master Harada, did not Tsutomu Ohshima (still alive and well) also receive his godan (5th degree) from O sensei Funakoshi? If I am not mistaken both senseis Harada and Ohshima were the only two students of master Funakoshi who were authorized to use the shotokan name. N2shotokai (talk) 16:37, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
