editI think this page should be deleted. There is no such thing as serial polygamy.—Red Baron 02:55, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have strong feelings either way, but here's my take on things. Both serial monogamy and serial polygamy are valid ideas that extremely difficult to source and do not appear to have widespread popular or scientific cachet. Both terms should realistically be rolled into a single page since they are talking about the same thing (marriage to more than one partner though never simultaneously) and the difference is one of semantics rather than research, definition or use. Of the two terms, serial monogamy appears to have more sources, though none are particularly reliable or valid. Rather, they are just enough to avoid the page getting deleted. Since both terms mean the same thing and differ only in the intent or pejorative sense of the last word, I'd say leave in the re-direct, and if a source can be found, put a statement in how they are the same thing but differ in tone. If you are serious about getting the page deleted (which I think is overkill considering it's just a redirect), you should go to WP:DEL and read up on the deletion policy. It would probably fit under WP:NOT, but I would be voting for keep and might spend a bit of time seeing if I can find some sources to support the redirect. WLU 17:40, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
