The cited "70 degrees", I presume, is in Celsius. This may cause confusion to readers more familiar with the Imperial Unit System. Radiation vs Contamination issue edit
The paragraph mentioning the lack of anti-contamination garments being a factor in the radiation exposure rate is in error. Ionizing radiation delivers its dose to tissue only very slightly attenuated by clothing of any type. The purpose of anti-contamination clothing is to provide a barrier to radioactive material between the person and the environment. It typically has nil effect on radiation absorbed by the body. Indeed, contaminating anti-contamination clothing causes it to become a source of radiation itself, and the clothing, once soiled thusly, becomes radioactive material, requiring all the handling protocols of any other radioactive material.
Sadly, there are no portable nor wearable apparatus that would have shielded Sergei Preminin from lethal levels of radiation exposure present near an operating reactor. Certainly, his training was on a par with US Navy nuclear operators; he went to his task knowing full well what he was doing, making his effort to save his shipmates all the more heroic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.0.137.1 (talk) 15:13, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Did Belikov die? edit
This article seems to imply that Belikov, an officer of the reactor division, died together with Preminin during the attempt to shut the reactor down. However, Belikov is not mentioned in the list of casualties.
