The Japanese and the rock musical
editMore mention should be made about the history of line one and the Japanese. I will start digging around. I also think that there needs to be an article for the rock musical, Subway Line 1, longest running musical in Korean history, and it should be linked here. Nesnad, in the article I mentioned "a Korean official." He is Paik Sun-Yup and I referred to his book Wakaki shōgun no Chōsen sensō 若き将軍の朝鮮戦争. He was the Minister of Transportation and launched the construction of Seoul Subway Line 1 although he resigned shortly before its opening. Nanshu, but the English is incorrect and its POV. Even if it is credible, it takes a side, and we shouldn't do that in Wiki. If I'm wrong, let me know. I'm open to all ideas, if they are not taking sides and they are NPOV. Nesnad 2 July 2005 21:09 (UTC)
Gyeongwon Line
editWhat is the relationship between Line 1 and the Gyeongwon Line? Are they actually identical -- that is, when I take a train on the Gyeongwon Line to Uijeongbu, am I actually taking the subway? Or is it the more normal relationship, where subway and Mugunghwa trains run side-by-side, but stop at different platforms and use different tickets?
Currently a number of station tables suggest that the two are identical. Unless that's true, we need to do some fixing up. -- Visviva 04:59, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- I can understand your opinion, of course, but not really. I think it is not true. Actually, Line 1 operates via 4 Korean National Railroads, including Gyeongwon Line. In other words, Line 1 runs on Gyeongwon Line between Soyosan Station and Hoegi Station. Therefore, Line 1 can seem to be single subway line, but not single Common Railroad line. For example, this is the subway plan of Seoul Metropolitan City Government in 1960s.

(I) 서울 도심부를 관통하여 주변지역에 이르는 5개 노선 연장 약 133㎞의 지하철도망을 건설키로 하고, 우선 제1호선을 서울역에서 청량리역까지의 연장 9.5㎞로 한다.

Seoksu Station
editSeoksu Station is listed here under the "in Seoul" list, yet, on its page on the Korean Wikipedia, its address is in Anyang. Can anyone confirm which side of the border the station is, please? JPBarrass 16:56, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think I've confirmed it myself using [same page], which quotes the phone number as 031-472-7788, a Gyeonggi-do number, so the station building is definitely in Anyang and I will move the entry in the table accordingly. JPBarrass 10:51, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Seodongtan station
editA new station is going to be added to Line 1, Seodongtan. It is not clear to me how it will be added. There is some information in the Korean version. In the English wiki it's missing. In this page it should be mentioned at "Connecting Line" of Byeongjeom station(P157)

Seperate subject and change the title
editIn korea, Seoul Metropolitan Subway 1(수도권 전철 1호선) is separate as Seoul city own sector (Seoul subway line 1) and national own sector.
So, we need to this.
1. Change title as 'Seoul metropolitan subway 1' 2. Make new subject 'Seoul Subway line 1'(Seoul city own sector: Seoul-Cheongnyangni)
