Training duration

edit

Seohyun was discovered by SM Entertainment in 2003 and then debuted in 2007 so how come she "was a trainee for six years and six months"? 219.78.135.87 (talk) 09:02, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

File:Seohyun SNSD.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit
An image used in this article, File:Seohyun SNSD.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Seo Joo-hyunSeohyun – I have no idea why it was moved a month ago, but regardless:

  1. The singer has the stage name of Seohyun.
  2. The singer is dominantly known under Seohyun.
  3. WP:STAGENAME.

I don't know if this will be contested, but to be safe, it's being done this way. SKS (talk) 21:12, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Seohyun birth name: Seo Ju-hyun

edit

According to the Seohyun Official Instagram, Seohyun real birth name is Seo Ju-hyun(instead of Seo Joo-hyun).[1]

Also, there was a scan from Seohyun Korea passport which showed and spelled her name as Seo Ju-hyun. (it is not appropriate to post a link to an image on Wikipedia).[2]

Moreover, SM Town Live '10 World Tour in Shanghai ″Artistes Confirmation″ showed her name Seo Ju-hyun.[3][4]

Why not variety shows & how is too specific?

edit

@DragonFury: Erm sorry but how is using variety shows too specific?

And I don't get the part of "Other K-pop articles use the same headings" when Sunny, Kim Hyo-yeon, Kwon Yu-ri, Choi Soo-young, Im Yoona, Park So-jin, Yura, Bang Min-ah, Lee Hye-ri, Irene, Wendy, Joy, Suho, Lay Zhang, Chen, Kai, Sehun, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Ok Taec-yeon, Wooyoung, Junho, Chansung, Mark, JB, Jackson Wang, Jinyoung, Choi Young-jae, BamBam, V, Choi Si-won, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Onew, Taemin, Minho, Key, Victoria Song, Luna, Krystal Jung, Winwin, Chenle, Hyejeong, Chanmi, Kwon Mina, ChoA, and many more counting uses Variety show or Variety shows.

Apologies if my tone sounds bad.

Paper9oll | Talk:Paper9oll 12:26, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

That's a large list and I don't really have the time to go through the majority of K-pop articles but looking at the other SNSD members some have "Variety shows" as you mentioned, but others (Taeyeon and Tiffany) have "television shows", Yuri has the broader "Reality and variety shows", and Jessica just has "Television". So even within the group there is zero consistency and I doubt there is much more consistency across the breadth of K-pop articles. My argument is that "television shows" covers the whole range of shows in this section, for instance; is Show! Music Core a variety show? Some may say it is, but it's a music show first. Using "television shows" as a heading avoids this ambiguity. DragonFury (talk) 10:07, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ah I get it now, thanks for the explanation. – Paper9oll | Talk:Paper9oll 14:26, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
