Regarding drafts and reviews

edit

I went ahead and translated this article as requested on the WikiProject Russia page, under requested articles. It was shortly made into a draft due to a lack of sources. Obviously, when translating an article it's helpful to translate the sources as well. However, is there something I should do to prevent translations of already-approved articles from being converted into drafts, which then adds to the review backlog? Or is that a good thing? Should I request a review from the beginning? Also, is there a way I should let the WikiProject community know that I went ahead and made an article? I kept the old article page as a redirect to this page, so anyone can see that something was made, but that page was also marked as a candidate for Speedy Removal, so I'm not sure that that was the right move. Help/feedback appreciated, as always. Ph03n1x77 (talk) 21:21, 16 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
