• I'm concerned that source #5 is not reliable, as it's a post on Tumblr. -- replaced with reference to original version of article on Trowelblazers site.
• CS1 maints on the sources should be cleaned up - I'm not totally clear what this is referring to as I can't see any error messages on the citations?
• if the birth date is reported differently by other reliable sources, use {{Efn}} to mention it
• "described as "perhaps the most important woman in Greek archaeology." described by who? - by the authors cited, added their names to make this clearer.
• "known as Semni, " by who? Everybody, as far as I know; she published under that name. I've changed it to "who went by Semni".
• Do we have her parents names? - not in the sources I currently have access to.
• "the distinguished archaeologist" see MOS:EDITORIALIZING, you can't describe someone as distinguished and remain neutral. I'd recommend removing...
• 'Ephor of Antiquities' what does this mean? can you link the position? - it doesn't have a page but I've explained it.
• The sentences can read as very convoluted, with perhaps an abundance of semicolons. I'd recommend breaking some of that into multiple sentences.
• "rather than directing high-profile excavations, they nonetheless carried out highly significant work on museum collections" how is the latter part relevant to the article?
• "Karouzou's work included reorganising the collections - identifying artefacts which had not been properly catalogued" did she do this all by herself, or did she direct it? - sources don't mention if she had others helping her but she was certainly primarily responsible.

• were the artefacts previously not known to exist? - they would presumably have been known when excavated but not properly recorded in the museum.

• "she described this cataloguing work, which she had also performed at Epidaurus and Eretria, as 'invisible service'." maybe rephrase? This sentences loses focus a little bit, maybe trim down/break up
• "On the invasion of Greece in 1940, add who invaded the region?
• "along with her husband, other archaeologists, and museum employees and their families" perhaps just condense all of those to a few words like "other Greeks", "other archeologists" or something comparable"? - reformatted slightly as I think it's an important point that even families of lower-level museum employees were involved, not just the curators.
• "with pride that" again this is editorializing
• "responsible for reinstalling the museum collections" responsible by themselves or just involved? - responsible as in 'in charge of', presumably other employees would have assisted.
• "obliged to retire from the Archaeological Service" was it a mandatory retirement?
• "political dissident" Why was she labelled a dissident? We've seen no indication she was even remotely politically active? - probably for her liberal political views rather than any actual political activities as such, have tried to make this clearer. Not much detail on this in sources.
• "Unable to carry out her research" research on what? After retirement? - she retired from her museum position but was still (trying to) work on archaeological material, cf. invited scholarships.
• "International outcry" by who? this strikes me as an overly vague generalization
• "spend time visiting other exiled Greeks " where?
• "in which she carried out a great deal of collaborative work with international colleagues" could you be any more specific than "a great deal"
• "many of which have proven foundational to understandings of the Classical world; she also made significant contributions to public access to archaeology through the publication of guidebooks to the National Archaeological Museum and to archaeological sites" I think you'll need to incorporate quotes to support this
• There are a couple things in the article that seem a little promotional... Things like "Her contributions to Greek archaeology and museology have often been overlooked due to the focus on prominent male archaeologists over the 'invisible service' of Karouzou's museum curation" just seem a little too much like an essay to me... Maybe support statements about her impact with more quotes from people who are qualified to make such statements

• Do you see where it says "CS1 maint: date format" after the citations in green? That's a CS1 maint. I can fix them if you don't see them.
• Where you say " She has been described by Marianna Nikolaidou and Dimitra Kokkinidouas" add who they are? (Historians, authors, something else? Why do we care what they say, what makes it worth quoting")
• Lede could benefit from some expansion on her life (a couple of sentences)
• "They were later responsible for reinstalling the museum collections" presumably after the end of WWII?
• "was obliged to retire" if it was mandatory, perhaps "forced" would fit better?
• Phrases in Greek should use {{lang}}
• "Nikolaidou and Kokkinidou refer to her "continuous scholarly effort, broad intellectual perspective, social contribution and democratic sensitivity" and the innovative nature of her approach to ancient artefacts, particularly iconography on pottery, by which she "moved beyond the images to real people, their everyday life, attitudes and ideologies"" how does this help? again I ask why it matters what those two in particular say, maybe add a qualifier Eddie891 ^Talk _Work 14:17, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

Eddie891, see Axis occupation of Greece. The source is wrong writing 1940, as the brave Greek army pushed the Italians back. Athens was occupied in 1941 after the Germans invaded.--Pestilence Unchained (talk) 02:01, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

"Semne" would be an alternative (more old-fashioned/less common) transliteration of the Greek Σέμνη. I can add a redirect page if you think that would be useful. Eritha (talk) 13:17, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Eritha, Yeah, a redirect would be helpful. However, that is not a problem to hold up the promotion of this article to GA. It is currently well written, well referenced, reasonably comprehensive, contains no visible copyvio, and I am happy to promote to ga Eddie891 ^Talk _Work 20:22, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
