Should we add the lumajang news also?

edit

In Indonesia the semeru volcano (mount semeru) had its debris flying away to the village of lumajang I heard this from Indonesian news. And so that’s it Mark justino hurka (talk) 04:34, 6 December 2021 (UTC) 89 people are burned in this fire, im marie and wish you a good day :) ig: mariee.kym — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.91.154.221 (talk) 13:12, 31 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sanskrit!?

edit

The article says "This stratovolcano is also known as Mahameru, meaning "The Great Mountain" in Sanskrit.[3]". A quick look at the corresponding source given, provides "The steep-sided volcano, also referred to as Mahameru (Great Mountain), rises above coastal plains to the south". No mention of Sanskrit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.85.24.138 (talk) 14:26, 6 December 2021 (UTC) Nope — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.91.154.221 (talk) 13:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Prominence or elevation error

edit

The article says that (1) this is the highest mountain on an island in the ocean, Java, and (2) the prominence is 166 meters less than its elevation.

Both cannot be true.

Possibly the prominence was taken from some rounded figure (3500m).

In any case, the article should be changed so that the prominence and elevation are the same, assuming that the mountain is the highest on Java. 2601:600:9780:17D0:1425:9D84:B5E6:EBD6 (talk) 00:25, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
