I do not think that "Semacode" is relevant enough to justify an independent entry. If the entry is or will be removed, the content (sparse at is, anyway) could be put under Object hyperlinking. This is at least the place where the general idea of so called "semacodes" belongs to. Symbologist 12:25, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Self-reference in image

Error in Example

The example image does not point to the Wikipedia article on Semacode (ie, this article page) but on Semacod... which doesn't exist! Just scanned it now using Semacode's (the company's) iPhone app. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.77.42 (talk) 19:01, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Wording

I just wanted to let everyone know that I changed "page" to "article" because I thought that there was a page on the semacode Website about Wikipedia, after which I realized it was just referring to the page I was on [it was inverse to what I originally thought.]

Comparisons

Limit, charset

Datamatrix

It appears that Datamatrix and Semacode are the same thing (Semacode being one of Datamatrix uses). Shouldn't these two articles be merged? Or at least the distinction clarified? Epaulard (talk) 12:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

That's like saying that "e-mail and Hotmail are the same thing". Data Matrix is the name of a barcode format; Semacode is the name of a company and a bit of software. There's nothing novel about what they do; everything in "The Science behind Semacode" is already done with QR codes. I don't think anything here belongs in Data Matrix, though it might go in object hyperlinking (which unfortunately links to this article). ⇌Elektron 16:27, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Independent sources needed

I've just tagged this article as being in need of independent sources, as all currently in the article are pages on the company's website. A quick scan of Google Books suggests to me that sources should be available to fix this, however I am not at al awake enough to do so now (I'm on UTC).
