More shapes of heating elements feasible

edit

This section of the article is based on a source I read some years ago. However, I can't find the source any more. Also, I am sure that source described this aspect of PTC heating elements much more clearly than I have. Anyone who can find a citation or clarify the section, please do so. I clarified the section, inspired by wording in the cascading failure and thermal runaway articles. Unfortunately, these articles are also lacking in citations, so that problem remains. Condensinguponitself (talk) 22:11, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hyphenation

edit

I reverted a change that inserted hyphens: "positive-temperature-coefficient". As "positive temperature coefficient" seems to be by far the common usage. My sources are mostly the engineering domain in American English. If the hyphenated form is widely used in another domain, it might be useful to list both in the article and explain which form to use in which context.
