Title

Does it really make sense to have the article named 'Seishun Academy Middle School'? While that name is a correct translation of 'Seishun Gakuen', the name 'Seigaku' is not only more popular, but is the name used in the dub airing on TV, which means it's probably what pretty much anyone would be looking for. Just a thought. Kuwabaratheman 23:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well "Seigaku" already redirects here, and the "Middle School" part of the title was already removed when it was moved to simply "Seishun Academy" in January. Plus, the title of a school article (whether fictional or not) usually uses the full school name (think Brooklyn Tech, Stuy, and U-dub). DarkAngel █▀▀007▄▄█ 04:21, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

By the way, when I saw episode 134 (My Prince), I was surprised when I saw that Seigaku's full name (in the placard outside the gates) is 青春学園中等部-Seishun Gakuen Chūtōbu-Seishun Academy Secondary Department.

Do you think this is the real name of Seigaku?? Heran et Sang'gres (talk) 05:50, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alumnus?

edit

Now that the manga has finished, should all the former thirds years move into the alumnus category? Jedi Striker 01 April 2008, 17:16 (UTC)

No. Fiction is written in present tense despite the series ending as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction). So, the year they started out in when the series began is what should be kept. Otherwise it'll become in-universe, leaving others that have yet to see the series confused. OK. If they start a whole new manga (with Kaido and Momoshiro as captain and vice captain), will they be moved? Jedi Striker 12:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not likely, since they still originate from The Prince of Tennis. If a spin-off manga is created, then the continuation of their story is written in their own articles, with a mention of their new status and that they are leading in a new manga series in a separate short paragraph or just a short sentence after their original bios in this Seigaku article. Or, if a whole bunch of new characters are introduced in a new manga spin-off, then a separate section dividing them and the original PoT cast would probably be necessary in order to differentiate (and to not be in-universe).
