The definition is totally wrong. Segmental medullary arteries arise on the whole length of vertebral column from the spinal branches of segmental arteries. The anterior ones have to, not just can, join the anterior spinal artery. Lb.at.wiki (talk) 14:12, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
