Consistency about the "Two Days" & "Four Days" Prime Ministers edit

Please see Talk:List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom#The Two Days & Four Days Prime Ministers for discussion about consistency on how to handle the events of February 1746 and June 1757 on the various lists on ministers and ministries. Timrollpickering 22:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Northern and Southern England edit

Surely the article is wrong in saying that the Northern Secretary was responsible for Northern England. I thought that both Secretaries of State dealt with the whole country and only divided their functions in European foreign affairs. The text of this article is contradicting that in Secretary of State (United Kingdom). Could some one who really knows please correct this? Peterkingiron (talk) 11:42, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

As no one has seen fit to reply to the above comment, I hve deleted all reference to the dicision of responsibilities for Home Affairs. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:54, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Scotland edit

This post wouldn't have had repsonsibility for Scotland until the Union of 1707; this should be reflected in the article. 82.108.205.6 (talk) 12:54, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have added someting on this, but the situation does not appear to be as simple as you might think. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:50, 17 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
That was quick! Thank you.
