Previous forms/Previous Environment Secretaries before restructuring of the department
editIf we are trying to create a complete guide to the British political/executive system, why can't we structure these pages so that previous Environment Secretaries can be included? The page referring to the Home Secretary has a detailed list of Home Secretaries dating back to the formation of the department in the 1700s; there was life before DEFRA and as a researcher trying to find the list of Environment Secretaries prior to 1997/2001 it would be much more helpful to include e.g. Tory secretaries of state under Margaret Thatcher and John Major than wholly obliterate them from recorded history in this manner.
I am not suggesting Wiki is biased towards Labour but it would make a lot of sense for historians if pre-1997 personnel were included.
Merging of the political parties in the table
editWhat is the opinion of you Wikipedians regarding that? To me, it seems to make sense, as the same value is just being repeated over and over again. Sdrqaz (talk) 14:05, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
