Redirects don't qualify for speedy deletion. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 21:35, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I blanked the page (because the redirect violated policy) and then requested a speedy because it was blank. Also, redirects can qualify for speedy under some circumstances. Unfortunately, you're recreation will now force a week-long debate about whether this page violates redirect policy (which it does) -- only to have it re-deleted one week from now. Please review policy before creating pages, redirects or otherwise. jheiv talk contribs 23:11, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
As I see it, there is a special reason for the button I've hit to exist. Your action is gaming the system, and thus is clearly prohibited under Wikipedia policy. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 00:47, 11 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
If only you knew as much as you pretend to about policy, this whole debate wouldn't be necessary. The issue is moot, the redirect is being redirected to a more appropriate article anyway. Its just a shame we have to spend any time on it. jheiv talk contribs 18:05, 11 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
