Woops. The information in this article is incorrect. The Soo Locks (Sault St. Marie) are 1100 feet x 105 x 27'9" (http://www.duluthport.com/port-stats-facts.php). How common is the usage of Lakers (for ships confined to the Great Lakes) and Salties (ocean-going)?
