editHello,
I would like to know in which part there is the "essay /original research" issue since just posting this issue by itself without saying anything does not help a lot.

- Your article reads more like a conference paper than an encyclopedia article. It takes a particular side in the topic, argues for certain remedies, and draws conclusions. This is not the purpose of an encyclopedia article, and is consider original research. Certainly your facts are referenced with proper citations, but it is written in a tone that is intended to convince readers of a particular conclusion. I have already contacted you on your talk page with the suggestion that this article duplicates the content of desalination and List of desalination plants in Australia, but with no response. Please reconsider. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:18, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I would be careful merging a long article about one system (like this one) into a general article that briefly describes many different systems. Otherwise this might tend to "overrule" the general aspects of the general article. It seems better to re-work the current article to remove all undesired aspects, and place a link to it at an appropriate place in the general article.HHahn (Talk) 15:39, 24 May 2010 (UTC)- Sorry, moved to correct paragraph #Merge proposal. Merge proposal
editGiven the concerns expressed above, I propose that this article be merged with Desalination. Explanations of technologies and comparative costs should be incorporated in the main article, as their presence here represents a content fork. The rest of the article can be merged to List of desalination plants in Australia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:24, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

- Although the two articles have overlapping content I feel that there so much information in this article that it would be unwise to merge it with the other. Johnny C. Morse (talk) 02:25, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Rewrite
editI am currently rewriting the entire article to comply with guidelines.
- Removing all non-Australia material. This can be taken from page history and merged to Desalination.
- Rewriting for WP:NPOV. A412 (Talk * C) 01:52, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 22:03, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
Heron Island Disalination Plant was built in the late 1970's
editMy father built the first reverse osmosis disalination plant on Heron Island off the coast of Gladstone, Queesland Australia in the late 1970's. It made big new as it was the first plant to be built in the souther hemisphere. I remember very clearly being there as he built it and he explained how human hair was actually being used in the system.
